Phu Qouc’s hidden pearls

Just so I can stay in vacation mode for a little longer- here is some photos from our last day of all lazy days.

We took a trip around the island and the scenery was amazing- empty beaches, refreshing waterfalls, colorful dirt roads and smiling people.

Postcard from Phu Qouc

Last stop before we go back to Ho Chi Minh and this island is fantastic- why did we not just go here from the beginning?

We are staying at a very simple, rustic and remote place called Bo Resort where the nature is still allowed to have its say..so if you are of the sensitive kind, i would not recommend you to go here as you are one with the nature.

We stay in a chill stilted sea view bungalow with a bamboo balcony set among the banana trees- the only negative aspect is the cold, cold water in the shower, the wet sheets due to the extremely humid climate and the dirty beach if you move away slightly from the resort area..The food and most of the staff is amazing!

A well kept secret so far, no people here except for a finnish couple on honeymoon so go here before everybody finds out..

Almost stole another dog..

Sliding around the sand dunes

We decided to confront the vacation ruining rainstorms and took a jeep tour to the sand dunes in Bau trang- Incredibly beautiful although not the driest location in all of SE Asia that i read so we did have some problems sliding down the dunes, it was more like a mudbath..but still fun and a top tip if you do decide to go here even though i told you not to!

We found a 4 clover forrest- the place to go if you are in need of luck, love, faith or hope..

I searched my whole life for one of theese..

Mui Ne..

Was unfortunately a bit of a disappointment with the dirty beach overtaken by uncharming resorts..
The heavy rainstorms has not improved our picture of this little town that I am happy we came to during the low season since there is enough of big tourist buses here already!

It´s not all bad though since we have all the time in the world to read and eat which is my favorite things to do anyway but i would not recommend anyone to go here.

A Walk in the park

I normally take a morning walk in Fuxing park when i am in Shanghai and i do not want to loose my flow even though i am on vacation so we found a park here in HCMC that i must say was very similar, or at least all the characters in it..and they all stared as much so i felt at home!

We have the man who is walking backwards, the group practicing Tai Chi, the badminton players, the dancers, the birdcages, the people working out on the colorful senior citizen exercise equipment and of course the more relaxed ones that just sit on the benches and look at the ongoing show..

Ma Maison

We have now checked in to the cutest boutique hotel hidden in the back of an alley with the friendliest staff and really cute french colonial style rooms.

Really recommend this place if you will ever visit Ho Chi Minh City!
