Rod Fai market..

Is a fantastic open air bazaar set beside an abandoned railroad track, close to the Chatuchak weekend market. Spread on the ground is all kinds of collectibles and memorabilia from the yesteryear, from antique furniture to hippy fashion to Mao kitsch. The overall feel is down-to-earth cool and I think it was a much bigger and better version of the Ratchada night bazaar i wrote about before.

I unfortunately had to rush through it since I had to get on a flight back to Shanghai but I ended up with a bunch of blurry photos, a very old and rusty kitchen scale as well as a shabby chic old lantern..Next time I will go back with more time and a tripod!

tbc..

Chatuchak, Part 3

Unfortunately I can’t guide you to any of the cool booths I visited since most of them didn’t have any businesscards- so my best tip is to just get lost..that’s when I find my top spots that I can never seem to find again..

Chatuchak weekend market

I’m back on track..It’s been a few crazily hectic weeks with no spare time but that just means you have so much to look forward too since I have not stopped photographing and I have so much to show you!!

I start where I left off- My last weekend in Bangkok where I spent most of my time at my favorite market Chatuchak- A haven for vintage clothing, furniture, art, food and a lot of crap too..It’s also a fantastic place to people watch..so many trendy, young hipsters around!

I almost bought this one..

But ended up with this one instead..A bit scary and weird but I love it!

How amazingly cool??

Love this tattoo!!

Ratchada-Ladphrao night market

A rug from a dead cow and 1000 photos, that was my result after a hot and humid night at the amazing Ladphrao vintage night market.

The atmosphere was hip and trendy with a little bit for everyone like shoes, clothes, antiques, furnitures as well as vintage motorcycles and cars like Volkswagen buses and Beetles, Mini Coopers, Vespas and Yamahas.

Go there: Saturday night from 19:00-23:30, at the Ratchada-Ladprao junction, MRT Ratchadapisek

The cow in the car is now on my livingroom floor..
