Carnaval..
After a dinner at my new favorite restaurant Nene I was forced to go to the Brazilian carnival party at Mao livehouse led by Tinho Pereira’s nine-person Tempero do Brasil band. They provided contemporary Brazilian music along with classic samba beats to soundtrack the festivities here in Shanghai, aiming to bring a bit of the Rio spirit to town- I don’t know if they managed that well but I did get really interested going to Rio again for the real deal…next year maybe..

Shanghai Knights
Saturday in Shanghai..I was supposed to show of my pictures at the Designers corner of Jiashan market yesterday but I could not manage to stand that horrible hailstorm more then a few hours, so instead I packed up and enjoyed a sausage from Amelia before I walked to Taikang rd to drink a glass of red wine and look at vintage sunglasses instead which was much more enjoyable..Hope for sunshine for the next market in 2 weeks!
Pictures are stolen from my talented friend Rhys blog- you should check it out

Depressingly awesome
I could do much to spend a summer week at this achingly hip surf shack in Montauk owned by Richard Christiansen of the ad agency Chandelier Creative..

Yes, please
How I would love to have my next meal at this tiny seafood joint- The Rock Restaurant, located on a rock in the middle of the Indian Ocean.
Depending on the tides that day, you can either swim, walk, or boat over for a fresh caught meal!
TAKE ME THERE!
